Your Wedding Ceremony
As you may know,
the state of California requires a marriage license
AND a wedding ceremony in order to be legally married.
My primary role as your Officiant will be to perform
The Wedding Ceremony. If
you live in San Diego or surrounding
areas it is ideal for us to meet prior to the
ceremony. This way I can get to know you personally
and together we can create the ceremony exactly
as you want it to be.
San Diego has so many beautiful
locations to offer as a “destination”
for an entire wedding party, or just for the bride
and groom. If you live in another city
we can develop the ceremony by phone or email.

There are
many options to personalize your ceremony, as
you will see:
- Clergy Counsel #1
or #2
- Presentation of the
Bride – I can say, “Who
gives this woman, etc.” or We can do a
21st Century presentation and just ask the person
(father or whomever) if they support the bride
in her decision to be married.
- Roses for the Mothers
– We can also remember anyone who is important
to the B&G who has already passed away and
acknowledge their presence in Spirit
- We can include children
from previous marriages and have a “blending
of families” ceremony.
- Traditional Vows or
Not
The Promise –
My promise is one you can keep! It is to promise
to Do Your Best. That is all anyone can ask of
another.
- Personal Statements
by Bride & Groom
- Readings or Songs
by others
- Prayer or Wedding
Blessing
- Congregational Participation
- Announcements
– the guests appreciate knowing what is
next and the time table, and whether drinks
are hosted or it’s a cash bar.
